Summary
Luke records that ten men with leprosy called out to Jesus from a distance. He told them to go and show themselves to the priests, and as they went, they were healed. Only one turned back to thank him, and Luke notes pointedly that this man was a Samaritan. The account works on two levels at once: it is about faith that acts before it sees proof, and about gratitude that only one in ten bothered to express.
