Summary

Reading is not only reading words. Visuals -- road signs, photographs, billboards, national symbols -- carry real information, and reading them well is its own skill, using many of the same comprehension strategies (prediction, inference, questioning) applied to text. This topic covers what visuals communicate and how to interpret them accurately.
