1. Sentence construction and paragraph development
Clear writing rests on: one main idea per sentence, a clear subject and verb, and avoiding unnecessarily long or complex sentences. At the paragraph level: unity (one idea per paragraph), coherence (sentences flow logically), and a clear topic sentence.
