Summary

Industry is the processing of raw materials into finished goods. Its location depends on raw materials, power, market, labour, transport, water, capital and government policy, and once established a firm may stay through industrial inertia. Kenya's industry concentrates in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kisumu, Eldoret and Thika.
