Summary

A constitution is the body of rules by which a state is governed. Constitutions are written or unwritten and rigid or flexible. They may be made by evolution, revolution, granting, agreement or a constituent assembly. Kenya's 2010 Constitution was made by a long participatory process and adopted by referendum.
