Summary

A quantifier is a word or phrase that tells how much or how many, such as some, many, much, a few, a little or plenty of. Choosing the right one depends almost entirely on whether the noun is countable or uncountable. Countable nouns can be counted individually and have plurals; uncountable nouns are treated as a mass and normally have no plural. Get that distinction right and most quantifier errors disappear.
