Summary
Human rights are the basic entitlements every person holds simply by being human. Children's rights, protected in Kenya through the Children's Act and internationally through instruments like the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child, recognise that children need specific protections suited to their particular vulnerabilities and needs.
