Summary
The Bible was not originally written in English or in Kenya's local languages -- it was written in Hebrew (most of the Old Testament) and Greek (the New Testament). Getting scripture from those original languages into a language a reader actually understands is the work of translation, and this topic covers why that work matters, and its effects well beyond just making the text readable.
