Agency
1. Nature of agency
Agency is a relationship where one person (the agent) is authorised to act on behalf of another (the principal), creating legal relations between the principal and third parties.
2. Parties to the agency relationship
Principal - the person the agent acts for. Agent - authorised to act on the principal's behalf. Third party - dealt with by the agent on the principal's behalf.
