1. Group communication networks
| Network | Structure |

| Chain | Information passes sequentially, person to person |
| Wheel | All communication flows through one central person |
| All-channel | Everyone communicates freely with everyone else |
| Circle | Each member communicates only with the two adjacent to them |
All-channel usually gives the richest information flow but is hardest to coordinate; wheel is efficient for simple tasks but creates a bottleneck.
