  • Describe the types, causes and effects of pollution.
  • Explain the measures and institutions for environmental management.

Summary

Environmental management is the planned use and control of the environment; conservation is its protection and wise use for the future. Hazards are natural — floods, drought, lightning, windstorms, earthquakes, eruptions — or human-induced. Pollution is of air, water, land and noise. Kenya manages the environment through NEMA and EIA requirements.
