Summary

Plants reproduce asexually, producing genetically identical offspring from one parent, or sexually, involving gametes and giving variation. Sexual reproduction occurs in the flower. Pollination transfers pollen from anther to stigma, fertilisation follows through a pollen tube, and the ovule becomes a seed while the ovary becomes a fruit.
