Summary
Vegetation is the plant cover of an area. It is natural, semi-natural or planted. Its distribution is controlled by topographical, climatic, edaphic and biotic factors, of which rainfall and temperature are the most important. Plants adapt to their conditions — xerophytes to drought, hydrophytes to waterlogging.
